Whip Popping Contest

Saturday, October 19, 2024 - 1:30 p.m.
1. Pre-entries are encouraged online but will be accepted during check-in
time on the day of the contest.
2. There will be five (5) Divisions: Pee Wee ages 5-7, Junior Division ages
8-10, Intermediate Division ages 11-13, Senior Division ages 14-18 (not
graduated from high school), and Adult Division 18 and up.
3. Contestants MUST wear long pants and closed-toe shoes to compete.
4. Pee Wee contestants will have 30 seconds to perform their whip
cracking ability. Youth contestants in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior
Divisions will have 45 seconds and the Adult Division will have 60
seconds.
5. Whips can be from 6-14 feet long.
6. In the event of a tie, there will be a pop-off to determine the winner.
7. Judges will score on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest score) based
on most original sharpness, loudness, and best overall performance.
8. Contestants will be disqualified if found popping at ANY TIME (before or
after the contest) other than in the arena during the contest. Whips must
be put away and secured following the contest.
9. Contestants must agree to the release of liability. All contestants 18 and
under must have a parent/guardian signature.
10. Cash awards will be given to the top three in each age division - $25,
$20, $15. The judges' choice will receive a whip.
